الضار هو الذي يقدّر الضر على من يشاء بعدله وحكمته.

Ad-Daarr means 'The Afflictor' or 'The Distressor'. It signifies that Allah is the One who creates harm and adversity, allowing difficulties to reach whom He wills according to His wisdom. He tests His servants with hardship to purify them, remind them of their need for Him, and elevate their ranks. All harm and benefit come from Him alone. Quran References: 'If Allah touches you with harm, none can remove it but He' (6:17). 'And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him' (10:107).
