الشرح والدلالة · Explanation
السميع هو الذي يسمع الأصوات كلها، سرّها وجهرها، بلا مشقة.
As-Sami' means 'The All-Hearing'. It signifies that Allah hears all sounds, voices, and thoughts, whether spoken aloud or hidden in the heart. His hearing is not dependent on ears or instruments; it is perfect and encompasses everything. He hears the whisper of the soul, the silent prayer, and the loudest cry. Nothing escapes His hearing, and He responds to those who call upon Him. Quran References: 'Indeed, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing' (22:75). 'And He is with you wherever you are, and Allah is All-Seeing of what you do' (57:4). Spiritual Significance: As-Sami' reminds us that Allah hears our prayers, even when we whisper. It encourages sincerity in supplication and mindfulness in speech. Benefit: Reciting As-Sami' increases the likelihood of prayers being answered, protects from harmful speech, and brings awareness of Allah's presence. It is especially beneficial for those seeking acceptance of their duas.
