الشرح والدلالة · Explanation
الرحمن هو ذو الرحمة العامة التي وسعت كل شيء في الدنيا، للمؤمن والكافر، وهي صفة لا تُطلق على غير الله بهذا الإطلاق.
Ar-Rahman is one of the two names of Allah derived from the root 'rahmah' (mercy). It refers to the immense, all-encompassing mercy that Allah bestows upon all of His creation - believers and non-believers alike - in this world. It is a name that only Allah can bear. He is the One whose mercy embraces everything. Quran References: 'In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful' (1:1). 'The Most Gracious has firmly established Himself on the throne' (20:5). Benefit: Reciting Ar-Rahman 100 times after each obligatory prayer brings good memory, keen awareness, and freedom from a heavy heart.
